What we offer

Teaching conditions

Our main prevailing wind is South West, this allows us to teach on the beach where we are located. In the spring there are often some North Easterly wind days, for these the lessons taking place in the water we go around the corner of the peninsula to Greatstone beach, this is around a 15 minute drive.
Due to the flat marsh behind us, we have a lot of thermal sea breeze wind in the spring and summer, making great teaching conditions.
Our teaching day varies around the tides and some days will be longer than others. Typically a teaching day for kitesurfing has a window of 6-7 teaching hours. When it is possible to teach on both sides of the tides, longer hours (up to 10) and a resulting higher paying day can be achieved.
We set all of our instructors a set day off each week so that you have time for your own personal tasks and pastimes, however, you can ask to be added back onto the teaching rota on that day should you wish to.
In addition to teaching, there are additional jobs around the centre, such as equipment checks, repairs and maintenance that can be picked up to supplement income on light wind days. If you do not yet have the skills for equipment repairs, you will have the opportunity to learn them.
Our SUP lessons are also scheduled over the high tide period, when kitesurfing lessons cannot be taught, so these will never conflict and will be an addition to your teaching schedule.
